Equestrian anticipation as spring season approaches
Latest on Flexi Eventing, Working Hunter, show jumping and dressage!
Hi folks,
Today, I have seen pictures and videos of snow elsewhere in the country, but thank goodness it hasn’t reached me as yet! As we enter the month of March, our thoughts generally turn towards snowdrops rather than snow…
There has been so much going on in the local equestrian world recently that this Horse&Field newsletter brings you a second instalment for the week, with some more reports, results and pictures from local competitions, as well as details of a few forthcoming events.

The Flexi Eventing Series concluded at The Meadows, Lurgan, on Saturday, with the league prize giving being held, alongside a non-league competition.
One competitor who stood out during the Series was Carys Black from Bangor, Co Down. She is definitely one to look out for in the future!
Lusk Equestrian, Carr, Lisburn, held the second of their Working Hunter competitions last Sunday, which attracted a good turnout of those planning to attend the NI Festival and Balmoral Show.
The TRI Pony Spring Tour kicked off at Connell Hill, Randalstown, last Saturday, much to the delight of the young athletes and their dedicated parents!
Meanwhile, coloured poles were also the focus at Knockagh View, Greenisland, on Sunday, as they held a Show Jumping Day including Pony Club qualifiers for the Spring Festival.
On the dressage front, Ardnacashel, Comber continued with their Winter Series, with the final scheduled for this weekend.
