Schools' Show jumping Series continues at Meadows
Exceptional horsemanship and determination on display at Lurgan venue
The second leg of the TRI Schools’ Show jumping Series took place at Meadows Equestrian Centre in Lurgan on Saturday, September 30, showcasing the talent and skill of young equestrians from various schools. The competition was fierce, and the riders displayed exceptional horsemanship and determination throughout the event.

In the 50cm Optimum Time class, Erin Bates and her pony ‘Aughmore Dante’, representing Woods Primary School, emerged as the winners. Their impressive performance demonstrated precision and accuracy as they completed the course closest to the optimum time.
Stewartstown Primary School secured victory in the 65/70cm Primary Teams category. The team members showcased their exceptional riding skills and teamwork, with all four riders completing their rounds without incurring any penalties. Their flawless performance earned them the top spot in this highly competitive class.

Hunterhouse College claimed the victory in the Secondary Teams category. The team exhibited excellent coordination and skill as they navigated the course. Their combined effort and flawless rounds secured their well-deserved win.
In the Secondary Individual class, Lily McKenzie from Magherafelt High School triumphed with her horse, ‘Boskill Diamond’. Lily's remarkable riding ability and connection with her horse shone through, as they delivered an outstanding performance, earning them the top position in the class.
Lurgan College continued their winning streak in the Novice Teams category, securing their second consecutive victory. The team demonstrated exceptional teamwork and skill, showcasing their dedication to the sport.
Charlotte Nelson, a student from Wellington College, emerged as the winner in the Novice Individual class with her pony ‘Sugar Dolly’. Charlotte's riding prowess and connection with her pony were evident, as they delivered an exceptional performance, capturing the top position.
The Open Teams class was fiercely contested, but the victory ultimately went to Down High Flyers from Down High School. The team displayed exceptional riding skills, teamwork and determination, which propelled them to success in this highly competitive category.
Elizabeth McCracken from Killicomaine Junior High claimed the winners' rosette in the Open Individual class, riding her horse ‘Foaly’. Elizabeth's outstanding horsemanship and precision earned her the top spot, highlighting her skill and dedication to the sport.
Pippa Moore, representing Moira Primary School, clinched the Premier Open Individual title with her horse ‘Scooby Bee’. Pippa's exceptional riding ability and partnership with her horse were evident, as they delivered a flawless performance, securing the top position in this prestigious class.
