With a variety and competitions being held in the past week or so, this Horse&Field newsletter brings you a first instalment from them, as well as details of forthcoming activities and some news.

Portmore Equestrian Centre currently has a busy show jumping schedule, between registered and training shows, with some registered results being shared here,
Organisers of Balmoral Show have announced some new equine classes for this year’s show.
It is great to be able to share results and images from a recent Causeway and Glens Riding Club show jumping competition, which included a Pony Club Barrier Health Spring Festival qualifier.
Connell Hill’s Training Shows continue to be popular, with good numbers in attendance and some impressive rounds being jumped.
In local news, the Lough Neagh Partnership has announced a new project, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Qualifiers draw crowds to Causeway and Glens show
On Sunday, February 4, Causeway and Glens Riding Club held their first show jumping competition of 2024 at Causeway Coast Arena in Coleraine. The Route Pony Club ran Barrier Health Spring Festival qualifiers in conjunction with the training show and this certainly drew the crowds!
Connell Hill Training Show a big success
Saturday, February 17 saw competitors flock to Connell Hill in Randalstown to compete at the indoor Training Show. The cross-poles class, kindly sponsored by Doagh Equestrian, saw junior rider Molly Ferguson compete on ‘Holly’ and Elsie Crawford on ‘Candy’ tie for first place. Resilience project commences aimed at conserving Lough Neagh's rich heritage
The journey to preserve the captivating landscape and the rich heritage of Lough Neagh and its surrounding area has commenced with the Lough Neagh Heritage Resilience Project led by the Lough Neagh Partnership with £244,000 funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
