Equestrian activities for all, from minis to Grand Prix
Show jumping, Working Hunter and RDA reports and pictures
Hello everyone,
The reports from last weekend’s equestrian activities just keep coming! There really was something to suit every level of rider, from minis to Grand Prix.
Portmore (Aghalee) held their three-day Winter Championships last weekend and some very talented combinations battled it out for the prizes and championship titles on offer. Further north, Causeway and Glens Riding Club (Coleraine) held their Winter Working Hunter Show, which was very well supported.
There has been a busy schedule at Mossvale (Dromara), as not only are they running horse and pony jumping on a Thursday night and pony jumping on a Friday night, but they have also just started a Mini League for the very smallest show jumpers in our midst.
It is always a pleasure to be able to share RDA activities and they recently held a training day for coaches at Longstone RDA in Armagh, which saw a great turnout.
This Horse&Field newsletter brings you the reports, results and photos from these events, as well as details of forthcoming activities and the calendar of events. There are also a few more general local news stories that may be of interest.
More details on all of these and more are available by clicking on the stories below or visiting Horse&Field and having a scroll through!
This weekend will see a great variety of events taking place, with the Santa ride being held in Downpatrick, unregistered show jumping at The Meadows, Connell Hill or Portmore or, if you’re feeling adventurous, Lisbane Farm has a Jump Cross competition on Saturday. Meanwhile, on Sunday, there’s Working Hunter at Ardnacashel, unregistered jumping at Gransha or Danescroft, Six Mile Water Riding Club Christmas Show or there’s SJI Horse jumping at Portmore. All you have to do is decide!
