Equestrian competitors spoilt for choice
Local reports, results and pictures, alongside details of forthcoming equine events
Hello there,
That may have been the busiest weekend of the season so far! There were so many equestrian activities to choose from that it was difficult to select which one (or ones, for those out both Saturday and Sunday!) to support… I hope that everyone had a positive and productive weekend and, if things didn’t quite go to plan, at least the sun was shining!

This coming weekend brings yet more choices of where to go… among the list of activities, Knockagh View is holding their two-day Summer Gala (there’s still time to enter!); while Newry Show is on Saturday, with fun pony classes the order of the day (you can enter on the day!). Portmore hosts a three-day Summer Horse Show, while the Meadows hosts RDS Pony and Young Rider qualifiers. There’s also a wee preview of the event being held at Lisbane Farm the following Sunday, July 7.
