Equestrian latest: you don't want to miss this!
Local reports, results and pictures and a forthcoming event for a worthy cause
Hello there,
Things are very busy in the horsey world! The local agricultural shows are in full swing, as are the equestrian centres, with many holding leagues in various disciplines, alongside one-off shows and events.
One such show that needs special mention is the annual Beth’s Charity Derby Day, which is being held at Danescroft, Lisburn, this Saturday. If you haven’t yet entered, please have a read at the details, as there is sure to be a class to suit and you’d be assisting a good cause at the same time as having a fun day out!
There is so much to share with you! Between an agricultural show at Armagh, a report from what sounds like a fantastic Banbridge Charity Show, registered and unregistered show jumping at Connell Hill and behind the scenes at Downpatrick Racecourse, I hope this will keep you informed!
As well as all that, I am attaching links to both the podcast and the article on riding instructor, dressage rider and online entrepreneur, Emma Hobson, in case you missed those. We had a very entertaining chat, which I hope you will enjoy, if you haven’t already!
As ever, this Horse&Field newsletter brings you reports, results and pictures from recent local competitions, as well as details of forthcoming events and a bit of local news that may be of interest.
More details on these and more are available by clicking on the stories or visiting Horse&Field and having a scroll through - there are now over 700 articles to choose from, with a search facility to find what you wish to read!
In case you missed them, the podcast and article with Emma Hobson are worth a click!
The Horse&Field calendar lists local equine activities and is updated on a daily basis. We are trying to make the calendar as comprehensive as possible and it currently lists shows and events right up until the end of the year, so if you know of any events that aren’t yet listed, please let us know!
To new subscribers, welcome! You will receive this newsletter twice each week, as well as occasional emails in between - we want to keep you informed, but do not want to overload your inbox!
Please remember that Horse&Field will be updated on a regular basis and you can visit it at any time to find out what is happening. If you wish, you can download the Substack app; you can search online for: horseandfield.substack.com or, if you are subscribed, just click on the email.
