Welcome to the third Horse & Field podcast, Straight from the horse’s mouth!!
This week sees Balmoral Show taking place, with its wide variety of horse and pony showing, Working Hunter and show jumping classes. Balmoral signals the start of the show season proper, with the local agricultural shows just around the corner and the now almost rare phenomenon of competing on grass!
With showing and Working Hunter in mind, I was delighted to have a chat with a young lady who has already made a big name for herself in showing and working hunter circles, with wins at Dublin Horse Show and the Northern Ireland Festival, as well as Balmoral Show and various shows in mainland UK… Casey-Lee Millar is only 11 years old, but I had a great chat with her and her mum, Eileen, about her successes to date and her ambitions for the future.
