Hello and welcome to the 14th Straight from the Horse's Mouth podcast on Horse and Field!
My latest conversation was with Corey Mawhinney, whose name is becoming more familiar in the local equestrian world. Corey competed in eventing and loved the thrill of it; he has volunteered in numerous roles for Eventing Ireland and, in the past year or so, he has been helping out at Ardnacashel Equestrian, Comber and Danescroft Equestrian, Lisburn.
Corey has done his training to become a dressage judge and has now judged at numerous Eventing Ireland events and Dressage Ireland shows, as well as Riding Club shows and unaffiliated shows.
Corey is a really nice guy and, through his own personal experiences, he has great insight and empathy - which I imagine must make him a good judge in terms of constructive feedback! Corey was very open during our conversation and I hope that everyone can take away lots of positives from his words.
I do hope you enjoy our chat!
If you would like to make contact with Corey, you can find him on Facebook or on the Dressage Ireland list of judges.
**Please note that a written article with photos will be posted to accompany the podcast.**
