Straight from the Horse's Mouth: Molly McCluskey

Episode seven

Welcome to the seventh Horse & Field podcast, Straight from the horse’s mouth!

I had a fantastic conversation with Molly McCluskey, who didn’t come from a horsey background, but the start she got from Philippa Auret at Lessans Riding Stables in Saintfield set her on a path where she has been able to pursue equine interests alongside her numerous courses of study, which included law.

Molly’s work with Down Royal Racecourse led her to be involved with the Down Royal Corporation of Horse Breeders and she still has an association with them in their pursuit of supporting the thoroughbred horse in County Down. They are currently involved in projects surrounding the retraining of ex-racehorses.

Molly is also a director on the One Equine Trust, who are doing a lot of work around equine assisted services.

Molly has a six-year-old horse, who she hopes to get out competing very soon; she also has two sons who ride and they have had the pleasure of riding wonderful ponies.

I really enjoyed our conversation and I hope you do too…
