Hi folks,
I hope you all had another enjoyable and successful weekend with your equine friends, whether you were hacking, jumping, doing dressage or schooling!
After another busy weekend, this Horse&Field newsletter is crammed with the first batch of results and pictures from local equestrian competitions over the weekend, as well as information on forthcoming events.

The past week saw top class show jumping at Portmore, who hosted their four-day Autumn Championships; Knockagh View hosted another leg of their Mid Week League, as well as a Hallowe’en Spook-tacular at the weekend; Hagans Croft held the penultimate leg of their Working Hunter league; Ardnacashel had a busy weekend, with an End of Season Showing Show on Saturday and their Autumn Dressage League on Sunday; and, with the Down Royal Festival of Racing being held on November 3 and 4, Bryan Cooper talks about Grade 1 winner, ‘Don Cossack’, in an audio clip!
The Horse&Field calendar lists local equine activities and is updated on a daily basis. We are trying to make the calendar as comprehensive as possible, so if you know of any events that aren’t yet listed, please let us know!
To new subscribers, welcome! You will receive this newsletter twice each week, as well as occasional emails in between - we want to keep you informed, but do not want to overload your inbox!
Please remember that Horse&Field will be updated on a regular basis and you can visit it at any time to find out what is happening. If you wish, you can download the Substack app; you can search online for: horseandfield.substack.com or, if you are subscribed, just click on the email.
