Hello folks,
Once again our local equestrian centres and organisations have played a blinder, with a fantastic selection of competitions to suit all levels of horse and rider being held over the past week or so! There have been so many of them, in fact, that I don’t expect them all to fit on this email, so there will probably need to be another instalment to keep you up to date with everything.
We are very fortunate to have so much to choose from in the way of equine activities - whether your preference is registered show jumping; unaffiliated show jumping; dressage; Working Hunter or arena eventing, hopefully you will find something to interest you below!

It is brilliant to see the support being shown to Air Ambulance NI at the moment, with the charity show at Connell Hill last Saturday and an End of Season Party scheduled for Hazeldene this Saturday evening - if you fancy a night out for a good cause, you can find out more here:

Strule Valley Riding Club held an Indoor Two-phase competition at the weekend at Ecclesville Centre, Fintona. The club would like to thank those who came along to compete and congratulations to the winners of each class.
Jump Mix finishes on a high at Hagans Croft
Saturday, September 28 saw the last week of Hagans Croft Jump Mix events and, looking back upon the last four weeks, it has been great to see each and every horse and rider combination grow in confidence, ensuring that their capabilities are endless!

ILDRA heads to remote and rugged Glenariff Forest Park
ILDRA (Irish Long Distance Riding Association) headed north on Sunday, September 22 for a day of pleasure rides at the remote and rugged Glenariff Forest Park. Under cloudy skies, riders and their mounts took to the mountainous trails winding through the scenic Glens of Antrim landscape.
'Ludo’s Promise' takes top class in NIHB Young Performance Horse Championships
The Northern Ireland Horse Board (NIHB) held its Young Performance Horse Championships on Sunday, September 22 at the Meadows Equestrian Centre, Lurgan. The event showcased a variety of young horses ranging from four years old up to eight years old and attracted producing professionals from across the region and further afield!
Autumn Championship success at The Meadows
The Meadows Equestrian Centre held a very successful weekend of show jumping over the weekend of September 21 and 22, with their final two-day show of 2024! Now an established event in the show jumping calendar, the two-day horse show saw riders from all over Ireland attend the Lurgan-based complex.
Success for Northern Ireland Riding Clubs show jumpers
Northern Ireland Riding Clubs held their Show jumping Championships on Sunday, September 21. Members from all over Northern Ireland travelled to Knockagh View Equestrian Centre, Greenisland, the weather was kind and a great day was had by all.
Super entries for Six Mile Water Working Hunter
Six Mile Water Riding Club held their popular, annual Working Hunter Show at Laurel View Equestrian Centre, Templepatrick on Sunday, August 11. The club were blown away once again with the entries, not far off 80 rounds jumped for the third year in a row!
Stars of the Laurel View Summer Dressage League
Summer passed in a flash and September has sped past, soon the Autumn/Winter Laurel View Dressage will get underway on Sunday, October 6. But before Summer is a distant memory, let us reminisce over the results from the last of the Summer league competitions…
