Taking on equine challenges of all shapes and sizes
Lots to share on local equestrian activities
Well hello there!
This has been an interesting week or so for me and I have a new-found respect for all those who travel their horses or ponies to the mainland for competition! I am travelling over to compete for Team Ireland in the Home International competition at the Red Dragon Festival of Endurance in Wales, which is happening this weekend. I am hoping to have more to say on that over the coming days, if time and Storm Agnes permit…

In the meantime, there is so much to share in the way of local equestrian activities! This Horse&Field newsletter brings you reports, results and photos - hopefully you will know some of the horses and riders included, or perhaps be among them yourself!
Please also check out the Horse&Field calendar, which lists local equestrian pursuits. The aim is to make this list as comprehensive as possible, so if you know of any events that aren’t yet listed, please let us know!
To new subscribers, welcome! You will receive this newsletter twice each week, as well as occasional emails in between - we want to keep you informed, but do not want to overload your inbox!
Horse&Field is updated on a daily basis, so please remember you can visit it at any time to find out what is happening or to see if the results are up yet from shows you have attended! If you wish, you can download the Substack app; you can search online for: horseandfield.substack.com or, if you are subscribed, just click on the email.
If you have any articles or photos to contribute, any queries or suggestions, please do send an email to horseandfield@gmail.com
Enjoy!
