Latest reports, results and pictures from local equine activities
Hi everyone,
There is such a lot to share with you here, so this will be a rather packed update! Our neck of the woods is blessed to have a huge amount going on in the horsey world at present - I will take this opportunity to thank all those who are sending in their results and their amazing photos for me to share with you!
We have seen an upturn in the weather this past week, with beautiful sunshine and amazing temperatures for September… Long may this ‘Indian Summer’ continue, as it makes equestrian sport (and everything else!) so much more enjoyable… And the photos so much more eye-catching!

Looking ahead, Lyndon McKee and Connell Hill Equestrian Centre are running a Charity Show, in aid of Air Ambulance NI on Saturday, September 28:

Gala Dressage Show at Castle Irvine
Dressage at Home and International may be better known for their online platform, where competitors video their dressage tests and send them in to be judged, but the company recognises that sometimes it is nice to go to a show, ride a test in front of a judge in real time and mingle with like-minded horsey people… Especially when the venue is Castle Irv…

Future jumping stars shine bright at Hagans Croft

Eventers dominate at Connell Hill SJI show
The SJI Summer League continued at Connell Hill on Thursday, with a great turnout across the heights. The smaller classes saw a super number of very talented combinations jumping clear rounds.
After many hours of working through the massive number of results, in order to identify our local competitors and request relevant images, I am delighted to share the showing results from Dublin Horse Show - due to the volume of results and the number of photos, these had to be split in two, with Wednesday, Thursday and Friday classes in the first post and Saturday and Sunday in the second:
Northern successes at Dublin 1/2
This year’s Dublin Horse Show saw another impressive performance from northern competitors, who brought home numerous rosettes and winners’ sashes from the prestigious RDS showgrounds.
Dublin ribbons and sashes for local competitors 2/2
Dublin Horse Show is the pinnacle of the showing season for many competitors, certainly for those who do not compete beyond these shores. It is always encouraging to see those from northern counties being recognised in the winning line ups at the RDS and this year, even the Supreme Hunter Champion was from north of the border!
Show jumping results and pictures will follow.
