Downpours, development and equine education
Bringing you reports, results, photos and news from the local equestrian world
Hi folks,
Well, the rain returned… But prior to the downpours of the past few days, there were some super competitions held locally! The standards really were top-class, between the inaugural Young Event Horse Development Day at Danescroft, a wonderful (if a teeny bit wet) day out at Lurgan Show, two days of show jumping at Banbridge Charity Horse and Pony Show, as well as the many regular equestrian activities that are held each week. There was even some equine education on offer, as KR Equine Veterinary Services held a client information evening, in collaboration with CMC Physio and Glebe Equine.
Looking ahead, the diary of events continues to be busy and includes Saintfield Show this coming Saturday, the NI Riding Clubs’ Dressage Championships on Sunday and Enniskillen Horse and Pony Show on both Saturday and Sunday, among many more!
More details on these specific events and many others may be found in the Horse&Field calendar, which currently lists dates right up until the end of the year - just in case you’d like to plan ahead!

This Horse&Field newsletter brings you the latest equine news, as well as reports, results and pictures from local competitions and events over the past week or so, including the KR Equine client information evening; SJI horse jumping at Portmore; coverage of both horses and ponies from the two-day Banbridge Charity show; show jumping at Ardnacashel; the inaugural Young Event Horse Development Day at Danescroft; Lurgan Show; show jumping at Hagans Croft; SJI horse jumping at Connell Hill; Racing Juniors at Downpatrick Racecourse; Mid Antrim Pony Club Two-phase and Tetrathlon and, in local news, SVP celebrates Volunteers’ Week.
